Amplitude Ends Breakthrough Year as Digital Optimization Takes Hold in the Enterprise

Amplitude, Inc., the pioneer in digital optimization, recaps a year that demonstrated increasing demand for the industry’s first Digital Optimization System. Amidst the rise of product-led companies in 2021, Amplitude demonstrated growth across its customer, partner and employee bases, and brought on several key board hires ahead of the company’s debut on the Nasdaq Capital Market through a direct listing in September.

Launching the Digital Optimization System
This year, Amplitude introduced its Digital Optimization System to help teams deeply understand digital customer behavior, predict which features and actions lead to business outcomes and adapt each experience in real time to maximize impact. To bring the power of digital optimization to customers, Amplitude launched two products this year, Amplitude Recommend, a self-service personalization engine powered by machine learning, behavioral data and product analytics, and Amplitude Experiment, an end-to-end experimentation solution.

“With daily active use of digital products growing 54% since January 2020, the digital product is now becoming the primary lever in a business to drive growth,” said Spenser Skates, CEO of Amplitude. “2021 was an instrumental year for Amplitude, but it is just the beginning. We are on a mission to become the system of record for product teams everywhere and put the power of digital optimization in the hands of every business leader.”

Amplitude expanded its global customer portfolio in 2021 with new customers including Carvana, Glovo, Macmillan Learning, Miro, Smartsheet, SurveyMonkey and TripActions, and existing customer expansions including Spirit Airlines and Square.

Amplitude users are now expanding beyond product, engineering, marketing and data science roles to become the source of digital product insights across all digital teams. Amplitude Labs’ inaugural Product Report 2021 found the number of customer success roles using Amplitude surpassed that of data scientists for the first time.

iTranslate Launches API Integration at Snap’s Lens Fest

0

iTranslate launched API Integration for Lens Studio, a software that allows developers to create and publish lenses inside of Snapchat, at Lens Fest. Lens Studio is an application for artists and developers to build augmented reality experiences for hundreds of millions of Snapchatters, and includes built-in features like custom shaders and advanced tracking technology. With iTranslate’s API, Lens Studio now has real-time translation capabilities in over 50 languages.

iTranslate joins other Snap partners like crypto platform FTX, Accuweather, and Alpaca in the latest Lens Studio update.

“We are thrilled to have been chosen by Snap to power translation on the Lens Studio platform, and we can’t wait to see how creators and developers use our API to invent innovative, fun and rewarding experiences for Snap’s global community. Translation helps bring the world closer together, and we are on a mission to make fast, accurate and scalable translation available to everybody,” said Giordano Contestabile, General Manager of iTranslate.

How iTranslate’s API is used as a Remote Service Module in Lens Studio

The Remote Service Module of Lens Studio allows users to obtain data from external APIs and use them in their Lenses. Specifically, this module provides a scripting API to call the endpoints of an external API – in this case, iTranslate’s translation API. Developers can use the translation API in basically two ways:

to translate text in a Text object
to translate text in a Text3D object
In both use cases, developers use a provided script that translates Text or Text3D objects. To translate simple Text objects, attach the script to a Scene object that includes a Text component. After that, select the desired source and target language. For 3D objects, use the same script, attach a Scene object that contains a Text3D component, and select the source and target language again. As a plus, developers can extend the script to even more use cases.

Tackle.io Secures $100M Series C Funding from Coatue and Andreessen Horowitz to Take Digital Software Sales Mainstream

Tackle.io, a software company dedicated to helping software providers generate revenue through the clouds, announced a $100 million Series C funding round. The round brings the company’s valuation to $1.25 billion and was co-led by Coatue and existing investor Andreessen Horowitz, and included participation from Bessemer Venture Partners.

The funding, which comes 9 months after a $35M Series B, brings Tackle’s total funding to $148M. The round will help Tackle fast-track the execution of its product roadmap and expand its global reach while furthering its mission to help software companies sell through the Cloud Marketplaces offered by AWS, Azure, GCP, and IBM / Red Hat.

“This has been a tremendous year for Tackle, as we’ve tripled the size of our team and more than doubled our customer count,” said John Jahnke, CEO of Tackle. “Our customers today are primarily hypergrowth startups and we are excited to leverage this investment to broaden our platform in support of startups looking to build a Marketplace-native go-to-market as well as enterprises that are retrofitting their product portfolios to align to the cloud buyer. Tackle’s mission is to provide a global enterprise grade platform focused on bringing a Marketplace Cloud GTM to the masses.”

In its annual State of the Cloud Marketplaces Report, Tackle found that 83% of B2B buyers said they were likely or extremely likely to purchase through Marketplaces and 67% of sellers said they were investing more into building their cloud go-to-market (Cloud GTM). The report also predicts Marketplace growth will happen even faster than previously reported, expecting $50B in throughput by the end of 2025.

The era of digital selling of software is here and Tackle has emerged as the only platform solution purpose-built for software companies—like CrowdStrike, Lacework, and VMware—to launch, scale, and operationalize their businesses through the Cloud Marketplaces.

“We innovate on behalf of the ISV community,” said Dillon Woods, founder and CTO of Tackle. “Our customers love how we build seller and buyer experiences on top of the Marketplaces that eliminate friction and ultimately deliver on every buyer’s desired outcome: access to the software they need to innovate.”

With this funding, Tackle will continue to invest deeply into bringing Marketplaces closer to the point where buyers discover as well as more deeply integrating Marketplaces into core software company systems like Salesforce. Tackle will also streamline the workflow between co-sell systems and the Marketplaces to provide a single end to end integrated experience.

As part of the funding round, David Schneider, General Partner at Coatue, will join Tackle’s board as an observer. “We have followed Tackle for some time because many of our portfolio companies leverage the platform to accelerate their revenue through the clouds,” said Schneider. “I have seen a lot of go-to-market systems in my career and it is rare, and exciting, to see a SaaS company like this that enables direct access to budget and buyers. We believe Tackle is well positioned to help all sellers accelerate their shift toward Cloud Marketplaces and digital selling.”

Tackle’s customers have similar sentiments. “We have seen a significant increase in demand for OutSystems’ low code platform, and the Cloud Marketplaces are key to our growth strategy,” said Robson Grieve, CMO at OutSystems. “The Tackle Platform makes leveraging Marketplaces a business decision versus a distraction to product and engineering teams, and Tackle’s focused experts have helped guide us along our journey from first transaction to at scale revenue across the clouds.

Invoca Named a Leader in Applied Conversation Intelligence by Independent Research Firm

0

Invoca, the leader in AI-powered conversation intelligence for revenue teams, announced that Opus Research has identified Invoca as an industry leader in its annual 2021 Conversational Intelligence Intelliview research report. The Opus Research report evaluates the products, services, positioning and potential of 11 firms that show leadership in helping enterprises make the most of conversational intelligence by enabling them to unlock and activate revenue-driving, first-party data from every conversation that occurs during the buying journey. Opus Research recognized Invoca for its conversation intelligence data capabilities that enable marketing, sales, and eCommerce revenue teams to uncover and apply an unprecedented level of customer insights from customer conversations.

Invoca’s AI-powered conversation intelligence enables companies to understand and immediately act on the information shared via customer conversations. The platform uses AI to turn key parts of the conversation into valuable, not actionable, first-party data that businesses use to enhance every digital touchpoint and human interaction, resulting in more leads, higher revenue, and a better customer experience. This recognition of Invoca’s leadership comes amid rapid category growth, with the conversational AI market expected to reach $13.9 billion by 2025.

According to the report, “Invoca is unique in that conversations can be linked directly to a digital touchpoint on a session-level basis through JavaScript and dynamic number insertion technology. Customers deploy an Invoca JavaScript tag to their website, and the system automatically displays a unique Invoca phone number for each individual and their specific web session.” Invoca’s enabling conversational analytics technologies, both which rely on automated transcription, include:

Signal AI: Analyze the entire context of the conversation for language patterns in real time, identify customer intent and behavior, and classify the outcome of the call. Invoca customers can analyze conversations to optimize their marketing to improve ROI, boost sales agent performance, improve digital experiences, and understand emerging consumer trends.

Signal Discovery: Uses unsupervised machine learning to discover and track new topics and trends and provide valuable first-party data that exposes changing customer behaviors. This first-of-its-kind tool automatically analyzes conversations to uncover consumer call behavior and patterns, then displays findings in an interactive map that can be explored and analyzed within Invoca’s cloud platform.
Key Invoca differentiators highlighted in the Conversational Intelligence Intelliview report include:

Session Level, Granular Data Capture and Journey Mapping: Invoca is unique in that conversations can be linked directly to a digital touchpoint on a session-level basis through JavaScript and dynamic number insertion technology. Invoca captures not only the conversation intelligence in every call but also the digital journey that preceded the call. Because of the way other technologies handle DNI, they do not have the capability to capture data at the level of an individual user’s session.

Turnkey Integration Solutions: In addition to the integrations found on the Invoca Exchange, Invoca’s customizable webhooks, APIs, and automated data deliveries/fetches make it possible to integrate with nearly any third-party system in near real-time. This enables customers to optimize the performance of marketing campaigns, digital experiences, and sales agent performance in the call center and at business locations with one unified platform. Invoca frequently hears from customers that have recently switched to the platform that the data integrations with their previous providers either didn’t work at all or required so many manual workarounds that the results were not worth the effort.
AI and Conversational Analytics: The report also recognized Invoca’s AI-powered conversational analytics as a key differentiator.

“Phone calls and one-on-one conversations have largely remained a source of untapped data for businesses and marketers,” said Derek Top, Senior Analyst and Research Director at Opus Research. “Invoca is simplifying this process and ensuring brands understand the true voice of the consumer through their data. Invoca’s AI capabilities take this a step further and provide brands with the tools to optimize their own customer experiences.”
